Harbin, Sept. 27 – The 2nd FISU CSU meeting and the Head of Delegation meeting for Harbin 24th WU concluded in Harbin on Sept 27. Through reports and presentations by Harbin OC on the preparation work, together with nearly 240 questions raised pre-meeting by participating countries and regions, all the participants at the meeting felt the frankly mutual communication and the joy of working with FISU family and they said they were looking forward to come to Harbin in 2009 to attend a successful, perfect, and the most remarkable sporting event in the history of Winter Universiade.

Mr. Han Guangru, Secretary General of Harbin OC, said at the press conference that so far 48 countries and regions have already entered to participate in the 24th WU. From October on, trial running of the games will be conducted. Harbin OC will finish the construction and renovation work of the remaining projects at the end of October or the beginning of November. Harbin OC will work hard to honor their solemn commitment which is to provide qualified venues and facilities, scientific data processing and inquiry system, comfortable accommodation, together with good broadcasting facilities, and communication techniques, familiar coverage, convenient transportation, and modernized urban transportation governance, beautiful city environment, friendly and considerate service, reliable security, exquisite ice and snow culture and art, and activities arrangements with unique characteristics of university students to ensure a solemn, exciting, spectacular and successful Winter Universiade
