HARBIN, Aug. 19 – Led by Mr. Li Zhanshu，Governor of Heilongjiang Province and President of the Organizing Committee for Harbin 24th Winter Universidad, leaders from relevant provincial departments visited Winter Universiade ice and snow sports competition venues, i.e. Yabuli Ski Resort, Maoershan Ski Resort and Harbin ice sports venues during Aug. 18-19, to inspect the competition facilities and the three athletes’ villages, and then had a meeting to make arrangements for the preparatory work of Winter Universiade.

Mr. Li said that Harbin OC and the relevant departments had achieved great progress in various aspects such as equipment and facilities constructions, marketing, as well as environmental treatment, laying a good foundation for the hold of the 24th Winter Universiade. He also pointed out that, being the first high-level comprehensive winter games ever held in China and another important sporting event after Beijing Olympics and Paralympics, Harbin 24th Winter Universiade shall attract the attention from all over the world. As the Winter Universiade is approaching, the preparatory work is becoming imperative. All the departments of Harbin OC and relevant departments of Heilongjiang Province must pull together their forces and make good use of every minute to hold a most successful competition in the history of Winter Universiade.
